Ridgeview Open Space is host to many native flowering plants and grasses, and we’d like to spread the wealth across our open spaces, but we must first harvest seeds. On October 24th from 9-11 am, you’re invited to join the City and County of Broomfield, Colibri Creative Conservation Solutions, Broomfield Open Space Foundation, and Butterfly Pavilion’s Urban Prairie Project Restoration Master Volunteers to harvest seeds to be planted at a later date in another open space. You do not need to be an expert on native plants nor an expert seed harvester, there will be instructions and experts there to guide you.
This event is FREE and open to all ages.
We will meet at the corner of 13th Ave West and Quartz Drive. North of King Soopers located at 1150 US-287 N Broomfield, CO 80020.
Bring water, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat. Wear pants, a long sleeved shirt, and sturdy shoes.
