Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby in Broomfield

2020 Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby every year, the Broomfield Open Space Foundation, in cooperation with the City and County of Broomfield and Colorado Parks & Wildlife, sponsors a free Kids’ Fishing Derby for ages 6 to 12 years. After a brief fishing clinic, kids will be provided with a pole and bait! Adult supervision and registration are required. This event is sponsored by the City and County of Broomfield Open Space and Trails Department, Broomfield Open Space Foundation, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

Register for a one-hour time slot at 8, 9, or 10 a.m.

Westlake Drive & Lowell Boulevard
Please park at the County Commons Open Space Trailhead (access from the west side of Westlake Drive & Lowell Boulevard) and walk to the pond. Please note that parking at the Westlake Drive trailhead is limited, with extra parking available at Paul Derda Recreation Center. Fishing poles and any fish caught can be taken home to keep the excitement going!
