Kid’s Fishing Derby–Registration Required

2026 Derby

Broomfield’s Kids’ Fishing Derby has moved to the Spring season – please join us on Saturday, May 2! This all-inclusive fishing event is great for beginners or experienced anglers alike. A brief introductory fishing clinic, poles, and bait are provided. Kids will enjoy a one-hour fishing session. The fishing poles and any fish caught may be taken home. Parent/guardian supervision is required. *Please note that the location has changed from previous years and will be held at Metzger Open Space and Farmstead!

Registration

Volunteer

Volunteer at Broomfield’s annual children’s Fishing Derby at the Metzger Open Space and Farmstead! Volunteers will be on the shoreline to help with fishing skills, line detangling, bagging fish and fish dispatch. Volunteers must complete a background check to participate.
