The Colorado Corridors Project, an initiative of Rocky Mountain Wild and Denver Zoo, engages volunteers in wildlife monitoring in the Vail Pass Wildlife Byway – where three wildlife crossing structures have been proposed. In this talk Paige Singer, Conservation Biologist for Rocky Mountain Wild, will explain how this project uses citizen scientists to help maintain remote-triggered cameras and catalog the wildlife captured in photographs and videos. This important data will be used to assess the effectiveness of the proposed structures for reconnecting the Vail Pass Wildlife Byway.
