After a brief fishing clinic\, kids will be provided with a pole and bait! Adult supervision and registration are required. This event is sponsored by the City and County of Broomfield Open Space and Trails Department\, Broomfield Open Space Foundation\, and Colorado Parks and Wildlife. \nPlease park at the County Commons Open Space Trailhead (access from the west side of Westlake Drive & Lowell Boulevard) and walk to the pond. DESCRIPTION:Keep the Earth Day celebration going with us by restoring habitat by planting at Broomfield Commons Open Space. Join the City and County of Broomfield\, Broomfield Open Space Foundation\, and Butterfly Pavilion’s Urban Prairie Project Restoration Master Volunteers\, and other open space champions from the community on April 26th from 9-12 pm.\n\n \n\nThis event is FREE and open to all ages.\n\n \n\nWe will meet at the Broomfield County Commons Park\, near the playground.  Bring gloves\, wear sturdy closed-toe shoes\, long sleeves and pants\, and bring water. SUMMARY:Kids' Fishing Derby: Registration is Required and Volunteers Needed
DESCRIPTION:Fishing Derby is moving to the Spring for 2025! Interested in teaching the little ones in your life how to fish? Come to Broomfield’s annual Fishing Derby\, co-sponsored by the Broomfield Open Space Foundation on Saturday\, May 3rd from 8–11 a.m. at Tom Frost Reservoir. Children ages 6-12 will enjoy a one hour fishing session after a brief introductory fishing clinic. Any fish caught may be taken home along with their free fishing pole\, goodie bag and a boatload of knowledge about fishing. Parent/guardian supervision and prior registration is required for the event.
